"Also called Primitivo in Italy, this red grape has been popular in California for over a century. Originally from Eastern Europe, this grape is made into varying styles of wine, most popularly classical California and ""White Zinfandel"" which is a Rose. Hints of berry, bramble, and earth, this wine is incredibly versitale. In fact, it goes great with pizza, hamburgers, fries, and other fast foods! Don't let its pairing fool you though, this is a very serious wine and with the ""Old Wines"" that date back almost 100 years, you can get some incredible complexity and concentration found nowhere else.
