Wine Spectator Notes
Brilliant stuff. Stunning bouquet of peach, toast, smoke and mineral. Almost dry, this Alsace white is full-bodied yet has a sense of elegance and harmony and shows no sign of fading. The panoply of petrol, spice and citrusy marmalade flavors is buoyed by the firm structure and lingers, with a smoky note, on the aftertaste. -Wine Spectator

Vinous Notes
Bright gold. Knockout sexy nose combines apricot, caramel and burnt sugar. Hugely rich but with terrific acidity to frame and lift the fruit-driven orange and apricot flavors and leaven the wine's moderate sweetness. (It's carrying 46 g/l r.s. but doesn't taste nearly that sweet.) This extremely young and spectacularly concentrated wine gains in cut as it opens in the glass and stains the palate on the very long aftertaste. I would not be at all surprised if this wine showed more earth and minerality another ten years down the road. -Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
