A barrel sample, the 2016 de Fargues has a pale lemon color and quite a profoundly scented nose at this nascent stage, with cedar, honey toast, orange marmalade and warm pineapple with hints of grapefruit and apricot preserves plus a spicy undercurrent. The palate sings of savory and citrus layers with a decadent oiliness to the texture and fantastic freshness, finishing long. LPB - 03/2019
