Bottled in March 2021, the 2018 Chablis Vent d’Ange is quite open and intense on the nose, offering yellow plum and light nectarine scents, well defined though not the most complex aromatics that I have encountered from Pico. The focused palate shows a touch of sour lemon on the entry and good depth. Leesy and noticeably peppery toward the finish, with a tang of ginger enlivening the aftertaste. Very distinctive, as usual. This should drink well for a decade or more. -Neal Martin, Vinous
