2017 Domaine de la Solitude Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

Wally's Price: $53

"The white wines from France's Chateauneuf-du-Pape region offer a perfect midpoint between elegant, mineral-laced European whites and bright, flavorful examples from the New World. They are dry but bursting with aromatic character and they match a wide variety of foods from soft cheeses to richer fish and even white meats like pork and poultry. However these wines can fetch high prices often well above $80 a bottle. Domaine de la Solitude produces one of the very best and a true value for the money. Their 2017 evokes charming notes of nectarine, yellow cherry and quince with gentle hints of custard and macadamia nut. The finish goes on and on echoing marzipan and honeysuckle. A must try for any white wine lover!" - Robert Vardanian: Wine Director, Wally’s Santa Monica

2019 Chateau Leoube Rose Provence Le Secret

Wally's Price: $40

"I am loving the 2019 Chateau Leoube Le Secret rose right now. It is fresh and elegant with silky texture and tantalizing acidity. It is a light pale salmon color. On the nose you can smell the crushed minerals as well as the light berry mountain fruit. On the palate it racy and delicate with striking acidity and a super long finish. This is an extremely elegant and complex rose. It is the perfect rose for the hot summer days. "

2015 Ferraton Cornas Les Grands Muriers

Wally's Price: $59

"From the reputable house of Ferraton, this is one of my very favorite Rhone wines from the extraordinary 2015 vintage. For those who appreciate the savory, spicy character of classic French Syrah, the Les Grands Muriers has it all. Fresh violets, smoked meats, and blackberry preserves on the nose. The palate introduces shades of herbs de Provence and mocha. Dry, rustic and lively this Cornas is an unbelievable match with herb-crusted roasts, lamb chops or mushrooms cooked with bacon. The wine does benefit from a decant but due to the warm nature of the 2015 vintage, it is ready to rock and roll as soon as the cork is popped!"

NV Champagne Eric Phillipe Extra Brut Premier Cru

Wally's Price: $70

"MV Champagne Eric Phillipe Extra Brut Premier Cru - $70 This extra brut premier cru champagne is an absolute stunner! Comprised of 55% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru village of Bouzy and 45% Chardonnay from the premier cru village of Ecueil. Aged for three years on lees which gives this wine an incredible richness. This extra brut champagne only has 1 gram per liter dosage so it is very dry and of low calorie. It is a highly aromatic and expressive wine. It is golden in color with notes of toasted brioche, hazelnuts, green apple, and lemon zest. At its price point this wine absolutely over delivers. It is great as an aperitif or paired with seafood like prawns or grilled halibut with summer veggies and sauce Buerre Blanc. " - Dustin Cassidy: Sommelier, Wally’s Beverly Hills
