the new release of this wine is a blend of the '88, '90 and '93 vintages) Very fine, strong mousse Knockout, musky nose combines orange pith, honeysuckle, spices and chalk. Offers nearly painful intensity of lemon and wet stone flavor without any excess weight. Dense, extremely concentrated material is leavened by brilliant acidity. Wonderfully chewy and sappy in the middle palate and on the extremely long finish. It's hard to get this out of your mouth! Still, the wine's finishing austerity suggests that it's nowhere near its peak today. A great value in tete de cuvee Champagne.
