This vintage scored equally high points with critics, even earning 100 points from Decanter with a stellar review: “This has so much tannic power, with density, layers and structure along with layers of blackberry, liquorice, baked earth, cigar box and the signature exotic spices of Mouton.” With intense ripe fruit notes and generous tannins, it has great aging potential for decades to come.
